About Me

Hi,

I’m Richard, I’m a third sector community and outreach worker, digital inclusion lead and Church pastoral support worker. I work in the Calderdale and Kirklees areas of West Yorkshire.

I’m responsible for working with people society often forgets or marginalised. I run a number men’s groups, helping turn lives around and improve health and lives.

I’m responsible for a small number of food projects which on average get 4000 meals worth of surplus food, per month into the community.

Im involved in local community partnership work and sit on several committees and advisory groups, these help change the way services are delivered to local people. Making sure our community voices are heard.

My amateur radio callsign is M0XRL. I have been a licenced radio amateur for about a decade starting out as M6RIK and then moving on to 2E0OWS before finally passing the advanced test and being issued M0XRL.

I live in Halifax in West Yorkshire, England and often travel to the nearby hills and high spots to make use of the radio.

I ttake part in special events, Occasional contests and help with radio communications at community events when needed.

I’m part of the Halifax and District Amateur Radio Society and the Radio Society of Great Britain.
